5.0 out of 5 stars THe Golf Mat is incredible..., January 14, 2009
If you call yourself a golfer do not practice off of those rubber on concrete shot destroyers again. Boycott the local ranges and make them allow us to practice well. IT is a shame that these people give us terrible balls and unrealistic practice services and will not invest in us. I bought this golf mat and a Net Return and I am never going to a driving range again without real grass. I was developing a swing for the last 3 months off of a normal mat. One day it would work, one day it would not. I got the golf mat and it works perfectly. The problem was I could not hit down. Now I am happier than a fat kid with cake. Buy this mat and watch your scores drop. You would do better paying for a tee time than practicing at pre historic driving ranges.

The mat is durable, requires no assembly, and really does let you hit down on the ball without damaging your clubs, your floor, or your body. It works equally well indoors and outdoors. It even works at the driving range. It comes with a mat to stand on so that your feet are level with the hitting Mat.

Hitting the ball off the Hitting Mat is much closer to hitting the ball off turf than hitting the ball of any other mat I've ever seen. Honestly, I'd rather hit off this mat indoors into a cage than go to a non-turf driving range.

As you might expect, nothing is perfect. If you aren't careful, you might not notice when you hit the ball fat on this mat. The mat is pretty forgiving, like turf, but unlike turf, if you catch the mat early the club will not stick and, if you're hitting into a cage indoors, you won't see much difference in ball flight. So, you need to pay attention to the difference in feel between catching the ball flush and hitting it fat. One trick is to place the ball at the top of the up slope in the back of the mat. Now if you hit it fat, you'll catch the slope, and you'll definitely feel the difference.
